About The Position
The Pharmacy Clerk will answer the phone calls, greet customers, take prescriptions, confirm insurance information, and handle payments when the order is ready. When not working with customers, review inventory and keep shelves stocked and organized. The Clerk will obtain correct mailing information, payment verification, and ensure proper delivery method is selected following established policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate with others effectively
- Ability to de-escalate situations using proper crucial conversation skills
- Basic understanding and knowledge of computer programs
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic math skills
Nice To Haves
- 1 year or more retail pharmacy experience
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology and pharmacy operations
