About The Position

Provide exceptional customer service and direct patient intervention through health and wellness services, as permitted by state and federal law. Help maintain a safe, clean, inclusive environment and provide patients with appropriate products, services, and care at fair and accurate prices. Demonstrate the company's values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Assist the pharmacist with pharmacy responsibilities that do not require the pharmacist's professional judgment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification, or licensure.

Nice To Haves

• Previous comparable experience.
• Equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Understand and follow HIPAA regulations and company policies concerning protected health information.
• Maintain current national and/or state registration, certification, or licensure as required by the state.
• Assist the pharmacist with responsibilities that do not require a pharmacist's professional judgment.
• Provide a strong customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing steps.
• Support the continued coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications according to state and other applicable regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services using available platforms, resources, and applications.
• Complete all aspects of CLIA-waived screenings in accordance with state and federal law and company policies.
• Provide additional health and wellness services permitted by state and other regulatory bodies.
• Follow and reinforce sanitation and safety regulations, guidelines, procedures, and programs; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations and report illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
