Requirements

Completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Valid driver's license for business travel purposes.

Responsibilities

Delivering superior customer service by smiling, greeting customers, answering non-medical questions, suggestive selling, handling special requests, and assisting in resolving minor customer issues promptly and courteously.
Assisting customers at the register by processing sales of prescriptions, OTC products, groceries, and other various items.
Identifying customer needs, helping to locate products, and promoting products and services. Working with pharmacists to resolve customer issues.
Operating and maintaining knowledge of equipment such as registers, phones, and other department equipment to provide customer service.
Retrieving prescriptions and prescription refills from customers and gathering necessary information for prescription processing, while partnering with technicians and pharmacists to assign wait times.
Assisting customers in completing first-time patient information documents and requesting insurance or patient discount cards for pharmacy records.
Providing customer assistance during prescription pickup by retrieving prescriptions, scanning them to verify accuracy, and gathering electronic signatures for HIPAA acknowledgment and third-party payment.
Unpacking and putting away pharmacy orders within the department.
Providing operational support to pharmacists and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Immediately reporting any suspected prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
Following all department policies and procedures and complying with state and federal regulations.
Performing additional job-related responsibilities and duties as necessary or assigned.
Supporting and embodying the Mission, Vision, and Values of Weis Markets.
