About The Position
Campus Health Pharmacy Cashier will support the department/organization in various administrative and operational tasks. This position will help student employees demonstrate and cultivate the career readiness competencies in accordance with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
Requirements
- Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
- Active enrollment as an Tulane EMS member
- A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional customer service.
- Operate register and accurately process credit, debit, and insurance-related transactions.
- Assist customers with prescription pickup while following pharmacy privacy and confidentiality policies.
- Verify customer identification when required for prescription pickups.
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory of over-the-counter products and front-end merchandise.
- Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with routine non-clinical duties.
- Follow all HIPAA, safety, and company policies regarding customer information and pharmacy operations.
- Resolve basic customer questions and refer complex issues to pharmacists or supervisors.
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment while completing assigned tasks efficiently.
