About The Position

The Pharmacy Buyer oversees department purchasing and billing processes and assists with quality functions for regulatory requirements. This role involves placing daily orders for pharmaceuticals and supplies, monitoring contract compliance, overseeing department billing and charge corrections, ensuring regulatory compliance through quality functions and documentation, and managing automation equipment and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must hold a National Pharmacy Technician certificate
• Must be registered with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy
• Two years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Places daily orders for pharmaceuticals and supplies in sufficient quantities to meet department needs and monitors for contract compliance
• Oversees department billing processes and charge corrections
• Ensures regulatory compliance by coordinating quality functions and maintaining accurate documentation
• Competent in automation related equipment and procedures and manages issues and maintenance
