About The Position

The Pharmacy Buyer oversees the purchasing and ongoing management of medications and pharmacy supplies to ensure efficient pharmacy operations and continuity of patient care. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels by conducting regular inventory reviews and establishing appropriate PAR levels. The Pharmacy Buyer collaborates closely with Materials Management, third-party vendors, wholesalers, and pharmacy team members across the health system to ensure timely procurement and issue resolution. Additionally, the position seeks and supports cost‑control opportunities through effective purchasing strategies and inventory optimization while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. The Pharmacy Buyer also performs other duties as assigned in support of pharmacy operations.

  • Performing other duties as assigned in support of pharmacy operations.
