As a Pharmacy Assistant, (Inventory), you will have your own workspace and will be reporting to the Pharmacy Manager within our Lethbridge pharmacy. The position is responsible for technical functions concerning mostly obtaining and maintaining our database of valid prescriptions and data entry of new prescriptions into Kroll. You may also be involved in the filling of prescriptions and compounding functions as well as other administrative and shipping tasks when needed. We are committed to providing excellent patient care, with superior communication skills within a fast-paced environment that services the needs of our Homes throughout Southern Alberta. Requirements

  • Pharmacy Experience
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Fast and Accurate Data Entry skills
  • Organization and Time-Management skills
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in a related program

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Kroll pharmacy system is an asset
  • Long Term Care or hospital pharmacy experience is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory maintenance duties such as: ordering, receiving, expiry flagging, recalls and returns, maintaining Kroll inventory database, verifying costs and updating, dealing with drug shortages and vendor relationships
  • Maintain customer and vendor service expectations in a timely manner, knowing when to involve manager or licensee
  • Support daily operations including shipping duties, administrative tasks, removing cardboard and packaging from the pharmacy, filling and labelling prescriptions, some data entry of prescriptions and/or refills and other duties as assigned.
