About The Position

Responsible for supporting the delivery of consulting projects to our employer prospects and clients. This role involves assisting with financial modeling of Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) financial proposals, preparing initial drafts of new business and client deliverables, and collaborating with senior consultants to support client strategy development. The analyst will research pharmacy industry issues relevant to large employers, manage projects to ensure timely completion and quality, and schedule status meetings. Additionally, the role requires working with client teams to optimize pharmacy practice resources and improve processes, while adhering to agency data standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care or related industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One (1) or more years of experience in an actuarial, underwriting, pricing or consulting role in a Health & Welfare consulting/brokerage firm, PBM or health insurance carrier, or experience in financial analyses of the health care sector gained in a banking/financial services environment
  • Working knowledge of commercial health insurance industry

  • Ability to work with large data sets in Excel, Access, or other large data manipulation software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assists with financial modeling of Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) financial proposals
  • Prepares first draft of new business and client deliverables for review by the Senior Pharmacy Consultant
  • Works with Senior Pharmacy Consultants and other health benefit consultants to support client strategy development
  • Researches issues of concern to large employers in the pharmacy industry, assimilating information, and developing a written summary for the Senior Pharmacy Consultant to review and refine a point of view
  • Manages projects, using appropriate tools, to ensure projects are being completed on time and with appropriate quality assurance checks
  • Schedules and manages weekly/bi-weekly status meetings
  • Works with client teams to ensure pharmacy practice resources are used appropriately, increasing efficiency by identifying ways to improve processes
  • Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information)
