About The Position
This role is responsible for refilling and maintaining automated dispensing systems, preparing orders, and managing inventory for the Pharmacy department. The technician will also prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds, repackage bulk medications, and receive and store incoming supplies. Additionally, the role involves triaging incoming calls and acting as a liaison between the pharmacy, patients, and health professionals by providing information.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Florida Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience.
- Associate's degree/Technical degree
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
