About The Position

This role is responsible for filling prescriptions, preparing medicines, ordering/maintaining inventory, overseeing the work of our pharmacy technicians, externs and interns, reviewing and assisting with the pharmacy's different automations (DOSIS, Parata ATP2, and Pyxis ES). Our pharmacists also provide education regarding medications to medical and nursing staff. This job as a pharmacist will perform duties in an institutional setting for Correctional Health Services. A solid understanding of principles, theories, and practices of medicine. A knowledge of agency objectives, organization, structure and mission. An understanding of interactions and adverse reactions of drugs, medications and their dosage. Consultation and/or expert knowledge.

Requirements

  • Active Licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Utah.
  • Pharmacist Controlled Substance License.
  • No disciplinary or restrictions on your license.
  • Previous experience.

  • Master's Degree or PharmD Degree
