About The Position
Provides prescribed pharmaceuticals for a designated patient population. This position is in the inpatient pharmacy and is variable-schedule, PRN work. The pharmacist must have graduated from an A.C.P.E.-accredited college of pharmacy and hold a license to practice pharmacy in Mississippi. Pharmacists with licenses in other states must be registered in good standing in those states. No prior experience is required. The role requires knowledge of pharmacy practice and specialized skills for hospital practice, as well as clinical knowledge sufficient to perform drug utilization evaluations and clinical interventions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an A.C.P.E.-accredited college of pharmacy.
- License to practice pharmacy in the state of Mississippi.
- Registered pharmacist in good standing with other current states of licensure, if any.
- Knowledge of pharmacy practice.
- Knowledge of specialized skills required in hospital practice.
- Clinical knowledge adequate to perform drug utilization evaluations and clinical interventions.
