About The Position

Nebraska Medicine is seeking talented individuals to join their HUB Centralized Services team as a Pharmacist. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position (1.0 FTE) located at the Central Fill location (approx. 114th and Dodge in Omaha, NE). The HUB Pharmacy is a closed-door centralized services pharmacy. Responsibilities include clinical review of prescriptions (drug utilization review, order entry accuracy checks), working with pharmacy technicians, and triaging/assisting patient phone calls. The role involves preparing, dispensing, and distributing medication, providing clinical monitoring and drug information to ensure optimal patient care, and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. The position also involves providing direction and assisting with the organization of daily activities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of Nebraska or jurisdiction in which pharmacy practice is conducted
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later) as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice
  • Ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and patients
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills and use of typical office equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Outpatient hospital pharmacy experience or retail pharmacy experience
  • American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited postgraduate year one residency
  • Experience with hospital EMR and pharmacy applications
  • Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification as deemed appropriate and relevant to practice

Responsibilities
