About The Position

The Pharmacist will maintain the integrity of the pharmacy and specific departments, monitoring compliance with State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. This role involves analyzing patient chart notes, performing drug utilization reviews, and evaluating prescriptions for clarity, route of administration, purpose of use, dosage, schedule, and compatibility with other medications. The Pharmacist will consult directly with physicians on orders requiring clarification and discussion, and monitor technician activity regarding prescription entering, filling, and phone communication. Medications will be dispensed following regulatory standards and guidelines, and all patients will be counseled regarding medications received. The role also includes providing 24-hour on-call coverage as required.

Requirements

• Must have strong organizational and communication skills, verbal and written
• Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree, or Doctorate in Pharmacy Degree from accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must be a licensed pharmacist
• 2+ years of experience as a pharmacist
