About The Position

Valley Healthcare provides comprehensive primary care, selected specialties and referral services for the Chattahoochee valley regardless of circumstances. Our company is growing rapidly and we are currently in search of providers to help our growing families! We are looking for an experienced provider who is passionate about caring for patients and treating their medical needs. You will perform exams and procedures, counsel patients, and treat patients throughout their lifetime. Job Summary: Responsible for filling and distributing prescriptions to patients. Advises patients on generics, selection, dosages, interactions, and side effects of medications. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

A doctoral degree from an accredited program.
Must be licensed to practice in Georgia.
Must successfully pass a drug screening and a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 1 year experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Filling and distributing prescriptions to patients.
Advising patients on generics, selection, dosages, interactions, and side effects of medications.
Performing exams and procedures.
Counseling patients.
Treating patients throughout their lifetime.
Adhering to company policies and procedures and all Federal, State and Local medical service requirements.
Maintaining patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
Protecting computer log-on and password.
Securing work area prior to leaving it unattended for an extended period of time.
Logging off of computer and securing work area prior to leaving at the end of the day.
Complying with requirements for closing or locking files, securing equipment, or locking the building.
