About The Position

The Registered Pharmacist will review physician’s orders (prescriptions) and existing therapy to ensure the rationality, provide drug information services to physicians, nurses and allied health professional with regards to dosing, drug interactions, adverse drug reactions, pharmacokinetics, rational drug therapy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or PharmD from an accredited College of Pharmacy
• Current New York State License to practice as a registered pharmacist
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience
• Proficiency of Microsoft
• Minimum of 45 wpm
• Excellent mathematical ability, attention to detail, concentration, and alertness.
• Ability to multi-task and set priorities
• Computer skills
• Ability to safely handle medications
• Professional and respectable oral communication with co-workers, patients, outside vendors, and other health care affiliates.
• Aptitude to multi-task, work independently, and engage in teamwork
• Proficiently read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Open to training/giving and receiving instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous institutional experience
• Experience with Micro Merchant PrimeRx pharmacy software
• 340B pharmacy experience
