About The Position

NiteLines USA, a dynamic and growing health care organization established in 1994, is seeking a professional and dedicated Pharmacist to provide contract support services at FCI Marianna, a federal corrections facility in Marianna, FL. The role involves performing all pharmacist services in accordance with accepted pharmacy standards, Federal Bureau of Prisons Healthcare Services, American Correctional Association Standards, and Federal and State policies and regulations. This is a 1099 contract position.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted license to practice in any state in the United States.
• Graduate of an accredited school of higher education as a pharmacist.
• Knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures for job activities on various types of medical equipment and automated systems.
• Knowledge of safety principles and infection control in the patient care environment.
• Ability to relate and deal effectively with physicians, peers, inmates, and others.
• Ability to recognize, report, and record changes in a patient’s physical and emotional condition.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of medical/dental staff prescription orders (physical prescriptions or from patient's medical file).
• Selecting the correct medication and filling the prescription.
• Entering prescriptions into the pharmacy’s prescription computer system and printing prescription labels.
• Inventorying medications and supplies, recording low stock levels, and advising the Health Service Administrator (HSA) or COR of medications that need ordering.
• Interacting with inmates regarding their medication(s) and providing patient education about the medication(s).
• Administering medication.
