About The Position

NiteLines USA, a healthcare organization established in 1994, delivers contract support services to government institutions and medical treatment facilities. We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team at FCI Marianna, FL, a federal corrections facility. This role involves performing all pharmacist services in accordance with accepted pharmacy standards, Federal Bureau of Prisons Healthcare Services, American Correctional Association Standards, and Federal and State policies and regulations.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in any state in the United States.
• Graduate of an accredited school of higher education as a pharmacist.
• Knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures for job activities on various types of medical equipment and automated systems.
• Knowledge of safety principles and infection control in the patient care environment.
• Ability to relate and deal effectively with physicians, peers, inmates, and others.
• Ability to recognize, report, and record changes in a patient’s physical and emotional condition.

Responsibilities

• Interpretation of medical/dental staff prescription orders (physical or from patient's medical file).
• Selecting the correct medication and filling the prescription.
• Entering prescriptions into the pharmacy’s prescription computer system and printing prescription labels.
• Inventorying medications and supplies, recording low stock levels, and advising the Health Service Administrator (HSA) or COR of medications needing to be ordered.
• Interacting with inmates regarding their medication(s) and providing patient education about the medication(s).
• Administering medication.
