About The Position

Eastern Shawnee Staffing Services, in partnership with Indian Health Services (IHS), is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Pharmacist for a rewarding contract opportunity at the Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center in Warm Springs, Oregon. The Outpatient Pharmacist will provide pharmaceutical services focused on medication safety, patient education, and collaborative outpatient care within the Warm Springs Health and Wellness Center.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacy degree
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory
  • Minimum 1–2 years of pharmacist experience (outpatient or hospital preferred)
  • Experience with EHR systems
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to pass a federal security clearance
  • Required immunizations must be up to date

Nice To Haves

  • Previous outpatient or ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred
  • Current BLS certification (preferred)
  • Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential interactions
  • Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, dosing, and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with providers and healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes
  • Monitor patient drug therapies and provide clinical recommendations as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Support quality patient care in a collaborative outpatient healthcare setting
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Candidates should be adaptable and willing to support evolving clinical needs.
