About The Position
Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a maternity leave term Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Sandstones Pharmacies Enhance Care Solutions in Calgary, AB. This role involves delivering clinical services, administering vaccines, monitoring drug therapy, counseling patients, supervising students, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. The position also includes assisting with daily pharmacy operations.
Requirements
- Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacist
- Injection certification is required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Long Term Care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical services such as medication reviews, chronic disease management and care plan development.
- Administer vaccines and immunizations
- Determine appropriateness of drug therapy and monitor for effectiveness, side effects, and interactions
- Counsel patients on prescriptions, over-the-counter products, and health-related topics, including indications, contraindication, side effects, and proper usage and storage
- Supervise pharmacy students or provisional pharmacists in performing restricted activities
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and regulatory standards governing pharmacy practice
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned
