Requirements

• Pharmacist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

Responsibilities

• Assure the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders.
• Review medication orders to identify and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems, recommending alternatives when necessary.
• Compound and accurately dispense medications for delivery to patients and specific care areas.
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff while offering counseling to patients.
• Oversee technical personnel in the pharmacy and communicate with physicians to facilitate patient care.
