About The Position
Genoa Healthcare seeks a Per Diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties related to prescription processing. The pharmacist works within a coordinated care team serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities, helping customers use medications and follow treatment plans. Per diem pharmacists are classified as temporary employees and work on an intermittent basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Current pharmacist’s license in the state of Virginia.
- Pass a drug test before beginning employment.
Responsibilities
- Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
- Provide customers with information about medications and their use.
- Deliver a superior level of customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
- Administer immunizations as permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
- Perform other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
