About The Position
Genoa Healthcare seeks a per diem Pharmacist to perform professional duties and responsibilities related to prescription processing. The position is classified as temporary and works on an intermittent basis. The pharmacist works within a coordinated care setting serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities, helping people with complex health conditions obtain appropriate medications and follow their treatment plans. Duties include dispensing prescribed medications, providing medication information to customers, delivering customer service, complying with applicable pharmacy laws, and administering immunizations as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
- Current pharmacist’s license in the state of West Virginia.
- Candidates must pass a drug test before beginning employment.
Responsibilities
- Distribute drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
- Provide customers with information about medications and their use.
- Provide a superior level of customer service.
- Ensure compliance with applicable State Board of Pharmacy laws.
- Administer immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
- Perform other usual and customary pharmacy duties.
