About The Position
Walgreens pharmacists are medication experts and trusted healthcare providers who deliver patient-focused care. The role provides pharmacy consulting services, educates patients about medication use and side effects, and delivers clinical services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management. Pharmacists ensure medication safety through accurate compounding and dispensing, maintain regulatory compliance, and mentor and train pharmacy team members. Requirements
- BS in Pharmacy or a Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
- Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
- Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
- Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
