About The Position

Walgreens is seeking a patient-focused Pharmacist to provide expert pharmacy consulting and healthcare services. Pharmacists at Walgreens are medication experts and trusted healthcare providers who support patient-focused care. The role includes educating patients about medication use, side effects, and cost-effective options; delivering clinical services; ensuring medication safety and legal compliance; and supporting and developing pharmacy team members. The role requires a pharmacy degree, current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district, and at least one year of retail pharmacist experience.

Requirements

BS in Pharmacy or a Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding and dispensing, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
