About The Position

This is a temporary, part-time Pharmacist role located in New York, NY. The schedule is for the night shift, from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, for a duration of 14 weeks. The compensation ranges from $3,500 to $4,100 weekly. The role involves accurately preparing and dispensing prescribed medicines, educating patients on medication usage, checking for accuracy and potential interactions, maintaining pharmacy stock, and adhering to pharmacy laws and patient safety standards.

Requirements

• Valid license to practice as a Pharmacist issued by NYSED
• One (1) year of Pharmacist experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in pharmacy

Nice To Haves

• Pharmacy dispensing system experience.
• Sterile Processing experience.
• IV room experience.
• Knowledge of an EMR (Electronic Medical Records system) preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and provide prescribed medicines to patients.
• Explain medication usage, dosage, side effects, and precautions.
• Check for accuracy, drug interactions, allergies, and appropriate dosages.
• Maintain medicine stock, monitor expiry dates, and ensure proper storage.
• Follow pharmacy laws, maintain records, and uphold patient safety standards.
