About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in CT imaging, contrast administration, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role requires close collaboration with radiologists and healthcare teams to deliver accurate diagnostic imaging services.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related accredited program.
  • Current New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.) license.
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
  • Minimum 3 years of recent CT Technologist experience.
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
  • Experience with electronic imaging systems, documentation, and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to established protocols to ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Adjust technical factors (kV, mA) to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Conduct daily quality control and calibration checks on CT equipment.
  • Prepare and administer contrast agents and/or radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures; respond to any adverse reactions.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging data, and departmental documentation.
  • Perform quality assurance and safety testing on imaging equipment.
  • Manage storage and retrieval of electronic imaging records for radiologist review.
  • Verify and document radiopharmaceutical doses per departmental policies.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff.
