Pharmacist - $50,000 Sign-On Bonus
About The Position
Walgreens is seeking a pharmacist to provide patient-focused pharmacy and healthcare services. The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth and advancement within pharmacy operations, retail management, multi-site leadership, and corporate support functions. The pharmacist provides expert consultation to patients, explains medication use and side effects, and discusses cost-effective options. The role also delivers clinical services such as immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management; supports medication safety through accurate compounding and dispensing; complies with applicable regulations; and mentors and trains pharmacy team members. Candidates must have a pharmacy degree, current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district, and be a certified immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire. Retail pharmacist experience is preferred.
Requirements
- BS in Pharmacy or a pharmacist degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
- Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
- Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
- Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding and dispensing, and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.
