About The Position
SpecialtyRx is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide personalized pharmaceutical care to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. The role includes reviewing medication orders, overseeing medication preparation and dispensing, communicating with healthcare teams, and maintaining accurate customer clinical records. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with two days on site and two days remote, alternating work weeks that include overnight 4/10 shifts from 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. and every other weekend.
Requirements
- Active Pharmacist license with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
- Reliability and ability to multitask.
- Computer literacy.
Nice To Haves
- Previous long-term care experience.
- Knowledge of the FrameworkLTC system.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriate drug, dosage, potential interactions, and administration.
- Ensure dispensed medications are correctly supplied and labeled.
- Communicate with facility nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related inquiries.
- Supervise medication preparation.
- Recommend therapy changes to physicians and client facility staff when necessary.
- Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries.
- Maintain customer databases, including medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and other relevant information.
