About The Position

The pharmacy residency program is an organized, directed, first-year postgraduate (PGY1) training position in pharmacy practice that builds on a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions. The incumbent shall train in pharmacy practice as well as perform assignments intended to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities in clinical and administrative fields in the hospital, outpatient clinic, and ambulatory pharmacy programs. Maintains confidentiality. Exhibits ethics and integrity. Adheres to applicable federal and state laws, regulations, accreditation and licensing requirements, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
  • Knowledge of Database software, Internet software, Inventory software, Order Processing software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • Must be licensed to practice in the State of Oklahoma or obtain licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Oklahoma within three (3) months of hire.
  • Must maintain BLS certification.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
  • Must not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
  • Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
  • Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
