About The Position

The Pharmacist Resident is an active participant in an intensive 12 month post-graduate year one (PGY1) training program to develop extensive knowledge and clinical skills used to provide effective pharmaceutical care. The pharmacist resident functions as a clinical pharmacist, participating in clinical, operational, and administrative activities designed to assist in applying formal theoretical education and research to clinical patient situations. The resident is responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, is eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) approved school of pharmacy including didactic courses and experiential rotations in the clinical aspects of pharmaceutical care upon hire
  • Pharmacist Intern: TX (PHRMINTERN:TX) upon hire
  • Pharmacist: TX (PHARM:TX) within 90 days
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire
