How you’ll contribute A Pharmacist who excels in this role: Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team. Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems. Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students. Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts. Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians. Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software. Active Pharmacy and Therapeutics member. Performs medication use evaluations as needed. Develops pharmacy clinical protocols and initiatives. Maintains hospital drug formulary and IV drug library in concert with Pharmacy Director. Delegate, with oversight, the administrative duties/activities for the conduct of the residency program to one or more individuals. Demonstrate ongoing professionalism and contribution to the profession. Represent pharmacy on appropriate drug policy and other committees of the pharmacy department or within the organization. What we’re looking for PharmD, or RPh with credentials/experience to perform Accredited Residency Program Director Role Board Certification, Completion of ASHP Accredited Health Systems Pharmacy Administration Residency Program, or MBA (Preferred but not required) Experience in pharmacy management (Preferred but not required) Licensed in good standing to practice pharmacy in Arizona required Up-to-date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support, PALS, and ALCS. Must obtain within 3 months if not current at hire. Requirements

  • PharmD, or RPh with credentials/experience to perform Accredited Residency Program Director Role
  • Licensed in good standing to practice pharmacy in Arizona required
  • Up-to-date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support, PALS, and ALCS. Must obtain within 3 months if not current at hire.
