About The Position

How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: STAFFING EXPECTATIONS Average of 20-40% admin time (1-2 days/week), 60-80% staffing (3-4 days/week), based on department need s Staffing in area of responsibility Medicine teams - P rovide partial coverage during consecutive weeks for a medicine team ( e.g. Team B). May occasionally cover days off for weekends, PTO, RPD/RPC days, project time, etc. Decentralized zone ( day/ evening ) Weekend commitment: q5th Holiday commitment: 1 major/1 minor RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee Medicine Service Line daily workflow and delegation of responsibilities. Collaborate with leadership team to assess and support staff competency Support workflow development and maintenance Support pharmacist scheduler (s) regarding scheduling questions for respective areas. Assist with new hire interviews and onboarding , as needed Participate in longitudinal responsibilities and projects Foster a positive workplace culture. R einforce accountability in professional behavior and interpersonal communication. POTENTIAL PARTICIPATION AND GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES : Identify and pursue service line growth opportunities in collaboration with key stakeholders (including Medicine Service Line specialists and Pharmacy Leadership Team)

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy; Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
  • Experience: 3 years of pharmacy experience required.
  • Licensure Certification: Licensed to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
  • Knowledge of institutional pharmacy practice required, including familiarity with a broad range of pharmaceutical products, dosage forms, indications, and precautions
  • proficiency with general office equipment, computer systems, and keyboarding required
  • ability to manage time effectively, work efficiently and accurately, and follow established procedures with minimal supervision required
  • strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills required.
