We are seeking an experienced Informatics Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team. Requirements

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science Pharmacy or Pharmacy Doctorate Degree
  • Licensed in the State of Arizona or will consider candidates eligible for Arizona licensure
  • 2+ years of pharmacy technology systems experience in an acute care setting.
  • Experienced in word processing, spreadsheets, database applications, and desktop publishing.
  • Must distinguish colors.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the pharmacy expert for pharmacy information systems, software applications, and technology initiatives.
  • Support and optimize pharmacy software, automation systems, and interfaces with the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT teams to implement, test, maintain, and improve pharmacy technology solutions.
  • Support computerized provider order entry (CPOE), medication management systems, inventory systems, financial applications, and diversion detection software.
  • Participate in pharmacy technology implementations, upgrades, workflow improvements, and system optimization projects.
  • Analyze data and generate reports to support quality improvement initiatives, medication use evaluations, and operational decision-making.
  • Provide education, training, and ongoing support for pharmacy staff and interdisciplinary users.
  • Assist with formulary management and promote safe, evidence-based, and cost-effective medication use.
  • Provide clinical pharmacist services, including medication therapy monitoring, pharmacokinetic dosing, clinical consultation, and documentation.
  • Supervise pharmacy support personnel and assist with competency development.
