This role combines virtual pharmaceutical sales with occasional travel (8 times a year or as needed) for in-person interactions. It also involves team leadership, peer coaching, and analytics to drive performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The Hybrid Pharmaceutical Sales Representative Team Lead engages healthcare professionals (HCPs) through virtual platforms to promote client products and messages while meeting sales goals. Travel is required for live customer and team interactions as needed. The role includes mentoring, coaching, and supporting team members, sharing analytics insights, and providing ongoing training to foster team growth and success. A strong Team Lead combines technical expertise with interpersonal skills to drive team performance, foster growth, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of pharmaceutical, life sciences, or medical sales experience required.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel within the Eastern U.S. and Puerto Rico for live HCP interactions and other in-person events 8 times per year or as needed.
  • Willingness to work virtually across all U.S. time zones.
  • Successfully pass all required Amplity and client-required training.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Focused on providing superior customer support and service.
  • Excellent rapport-building and active listening skills to establish trust with HCPs and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong business acumen, urgency, and problem-solving skills to overcome sales obstacles and deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily sales call activities using virtual and remote platforms to influence customers and increase product sales.
  • Travel regionally to cover clients' vacant territories if needed or attend events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with HCPs through meaningful and relevant dialogues to achieve individual and territory goals for sales and market share.
  • Profile and manage targeted lists of HCPs, delivering value-added benefits to grow product volume.
  • Develop and execute business plans to meet territory and organizational sales goals.
  • Pass all product training and certifications and adhere to approved messaging and promotional guidelines.
  • Effectively communicate product information using listening and negotiation skills to overcome obstacles and drive product utilization with appropriate patients.
