The Northeast Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Walton County Health Department. Under general supervision, provides professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies and/or procedures. Provides services in all programs; immunization, WIC, Family Planning, Women’s Health, Diabetes, Hypertension, STD, TB, etc. to the general public. Assess each patient’s condition, develops a plan of care, provides treatments, educates patients, and makes referrals as appropriate. Provides outreach services and other key preventive health services to the community. The ideal candidate will not only excel in providing high-quality patient care but also possess strong computer skills to effectively manage electronic health records and other digital tools used in modern healthcare. Travel to other health departments or clinics within District 10 may be required. As a Public Health Registered Nurse within the Northeast Health District at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
