About The Position

The PGO Work Mgmt Planner reports to the Work Management Manager and supports field personnel performing construction and maintenance activities for substation and transmission line assets. The Planner may also ensure accurate completion of NERC-related documentation. The Planner works with construction resources and Transmission Project Management to plan, estimate, and allocate resources for projects assigned to the Transmission Construction Section. The role supports development and implementation of annual construction and maintenance work plans representing approximately $150 million to $300 million in capital and O&M spending, manages changes to align with funding and priorities, and is responsible for ensuring completion of the annual Construction & Maintenance work plan. The Planner develops work packages and construction estimates, coordinates work across internal groups, participates in capital project planning, and helps establish scopes, sequences, resources, clearances, and schedules. The position coordinates transmission clearances with Grid Management, ECC, TCC, and DCC; supports resolution and resequencing of work where load or customer sensitivities arise; and may process and store completed work-package documentation. The Planner gathers feedback to improve package quality, assists with emergency planning and clearance and hot-line-tag requests, and travels to work locations for requirements development, meetings, site walkdowns, and audits of work-package readiness.
