Position Specific Description The PGD Technical Service Specialist will report to their sites daily as the home office and will have responsibility for operating and maintenance activities on industrial engines. This position is located at the Perdido site in Pensacola, FL, and some travel (15%) to other sites is required. The main duties and responsibilities are: Provides full-time operations and maintenance support for the Perdido site's current LFGTE engines and future RNG equipment Performs system testing and documentation to critical systems during significant changes and/or upgrade Perform complex diagnostics, routine maintenance on Cat G3520 engines, generators, and associated power generation equipment Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using diagnostic software (e.g., Cat ET), schematics, and technical manuals. Establishes, documents, and maintains procedures and guidelines related to the day-to-day operation of the facility Analyzes and identifies the root cause of - and implements comprehensive technical solutions to - complex application deficiencies and system issues Utilize sensitive electronic data collection devices and gas analysis equipment to monitor methane and other gas levels, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency Develops new (and improves existing) processes with goal of increasing productivity, reducing risk of system failure, promoting efficiency in workflow, and meeting or exceeding the key operational performance targets Adhere strictly to all company and site-specific safety policies, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) and Confined Space protocols, and participate in daily safety discussions (risk assessments) Coordinate and communicate effectively with landfill site personnel, vendors, and management regarding system status, repairs, and optimization efforts Establishes, documents, and maintains procedures and guidelines related to the day-to-day operational support provided to the operations and business unit personnel Maintain detailed electronic and/or paper records of maintenance activities, equipment readings, and field observations for regulatory compliance Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to system malfunctions and emergencies Up to 25% travel may be required for training purposes and to provide temporary support to other sites Performs other job-related duties as assigned
