PGD Plant Manager
About The Position
Everyday our employees help us deliver safe, affordable, and reliable service to our more than 4.9 million customers. They are helping shape our company and how our customers see us. This position will report to a Regional Plant General Manager and will be responsible for driving best in class Safety and environmental performance, responsible for all aspects of operations and maintenance to maximize plant reliability and development of high-performance teams to support 24/7 operations. Dependent on candidate qualifications and business need, the successful candidate will be based out of one of our Florida power plants. The successful candidate for this position shall be able to manage all aspects of site business and operations, achieving all production and business targets while maintaining an injury-free work site. Combined cycle power plant operations experience required.
Requirements
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
- Experience: 7+ years
- Supervisor/Management Experience: 5+ years
Nice To Haves
- Strong knowledge and experience within power plant operations, maintenance and troubleshooting
- Six Sigma Certification; Yellow Belt or higher
- Bachelor's in engineering
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership in all aspects of operation and maintenance
- Manages the technical performance of the plant
- Develops and manages site budget
- Leads the safety of the facility and personnel
- Complies with all regulations and policies
- Oversees personnel development and succession planning
- Drives the continuous improvement of performance
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
