About The Position

Performs responsible and safe construction duties related to removing and/or installing underground and above ground petroleum storage and dispensing systems. Learns directly from senior installers, project managers, managers and consultants in the field.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the petroleum installation field required.
  • State-issued UST installer license required prior to hiring.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • Able to perform manual labor, heavy equipment inspection and operation and basic administrative tasks using mobile devices.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines from senior Installers in the field to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under intermittent supervision.
  • Primary job functions periodically require exercising independent judgment and making tactical decisions in the field without assistance.
  • May direct, train and mentor junior Installers.
  • Ability to travel overnight over 50%.
  • Ability to perform manual construction work and equipment operation as described.
  • Knowledge and experience with computer programs (ProCore, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • State-issued CDL-A is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install tanks, piping and other equipment and tests them after installation.
  • Removes and disposes of old equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Operate various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklift, and other related tools and equipment in performing described duties.
  • Plan, review and develop a layout of each job assignment as directed.
  • Review project status with senior installers, supervisors, consultants and project managers on a regular basis.
  • Complete all paper work necessary for completion of each job and makes mobile-based job updates using mobile construction applications.
  • Maintain safe operations on every job site by directing junior installers and subcontractors.
  • Set verbal safety expectations for all personnel on and off site and leads by example.
  • Provide direction and training to junior installers as needed and in the absence of site leads or supervisors.
  • Assist junior employees in the completion of daily tasks such as site cleanliness, travel reimbursement reporting, equipment maintenance, and navigating the company's various systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
