Requirements

  • Basic grasp of basic mathematics.
  • Ability to work in an automated environment.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis.
  • No fear of heights.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs for shore tanks.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload with efficient time management.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate – up to 75% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience performing petroleum inspections is preferred.
  • IFIA certified is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform necessary volume measurements, temperature measurements, sampling, calculations, documentation, and reporting to ensure accurate assessments of material quantity and quality.
  • Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures.
  • Perform duties according to specified methodology, including volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials in various containers (lines, shore tanks, cars, tank trucks, barges, ships).
  • Conduct visual inspections on equipment and conveyances.
  • Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities.
  • Perform routine equipment calibrations, verification, and function checks.
  • Verify and communicate results, making appropriate entries into the required media.
  • Provide on-the-job assistance and receive training from experienced inspectors.
  • Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport, and Company personnel.
  • Monitor the availability of necessary supplies and report needs to the Dispatcher or Coordinator.
  • Organize and coordinate jobs to ensure timely service delivery and report/sample submission.
  • Maintain work areas, records, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional condition.
  • Model Intertek’s 10X Energies and practice business ethically.
  • Adhere to safety practices and policies.
