Requirements

Basic grasp of basic mathematics.
Ability to work in an automated environment.
Ability to work on an on-call basis.
No fear of heights.
Ability to climb ladders and stairs for shore tanks.
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
Must have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.
Detailed oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload with efficient time management.
Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel as business needs dictate – up to 75% of the time.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience performing petroleum inspections is preferred.
IFIA certified is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform necessary volume measurements, temperature measurements, sampling, calculations, documentation, and reporting to ensure accurate assessments of material quantity and quality.
Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures.
Perform duties according to specified methodology, including volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials in various containers (lines, shore tanks, cars, tank trucks, barges, ships).
Conduct visual inspections on equipment and conveyances.
Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities.
Perform routine equipment calibrations, verification, and function checks.
Verify and communicate results, making appropriate entries into the required media.
Provide on-the-job assistance and receive training from experienced inspectors.
Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport, and Company personnel.
Monitor the availability of necessary supplies and report needs to the Dispatcher or Coordinator.
Organize and coordinate jobs to ensure timely service delivery and report/sample submission.
Maintain work areas, records, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional condition.
