About The Position

The JF Petroleum Group is a leader in the North American fueling infrastructure industry, providing comprehensive solutions for distribution, construction, and service. The Petroleum Construction Foreman plays a crucial hands-on leadership role on job sites, ensuring efficient and timely project progress. This role involves determining work priorities, often based on management directives, and overseeing the installation of piping, underground, and aboveground tanks, along with related project materials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of experience in piping, underground or aboveground fuel tanks, and related products experience REQUIRED.
  • Understanding of grades and elevations.
  • Experience with using a laser level.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a construction truck and tow small trailers when needed.
  • Possession of ICC certifications or the ability to quickly obtain certifications as required.
  • Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, including passing a drug screen, background check, and MVR if driving for the company.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and standing for the duration of the workday.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage projects including piping and the installation of underground and aboveground tanks and related project materials.
  • Communicate project requirements for safe, timely, and profitable completion to the Installation Manager.
  • Communicate job site requirements or issues to the customer or their onsite representative.
  • Read and understand applicable plans, specifications, environmental regulations, fire, and building codes.
  • Attend Pre-Construction Meetings, Safety Meetings, and selected training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of tests, inspections, job progress, visitors, and potential schedule-affecting situations.
  • Set an example for crew members by reporting to work on time and in proper uniform.
  • Supervise the daily activities of the crew.
  • Plan for upcoming work.
  • Train crew members to enable them to take on increasing responsibilities.
  • Enforce all mandatory safety rules, identify and correct potential hazards.
  • Require the use of proper personal protective equipment by all crew members and subcontractors.
  • Hold daily job-site safety meetings.
  • Ensure a positive Company image through crew appearance, vehicle cleanliness, job site orderliness, and professional conduct.
  • Maintain all vehicles in compliance with preventive maintenance policies, ensuring no unsafe conditions exist.
  • Wash and clean vehicles weekly and operate all vehicles safely.
  • Work will include after-hours.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions, as a significant portion of the work is done outdoors.
  • Travel as required.
