About The Position

The Petroleum Clerk is responsible for delivering world-class customer service and providing administrative and clerical services to ensure effective and efficient administrative operations in the Energy Department. This role involves providing prompt response to customer inquiries, offering customer service at the checkout, and operating the cash register. Other duties include inventory management, stocking and facing products on shelves, answering telephones, practicing good housekeeping habits, and maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping standards of the checkout area, sales floor, parking lot, and cardlock maintenance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six months of administrative and customer service experience.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well within multi-generational teams.
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (including Word & Excel).
  • Knowledge of petroleum products or willingness to learn.
  • Computer and data entry skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Outlook and Excel).
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Must be strongly service-oriented and motivated.
  • Capable of serving and assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
