About The Position
Passionately Pets, a local In-Home Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Company, is hiring exceptional pet sitters and dog walkers to join their team. This position is fun and rewarding, offering the chance to enjoy the outdoors, get exercise, and be loved by amazing local dogs, cats, and other companion animals. The role involves entering clients' homes to visit pets, walk them, feed them, ensure they have clean water, and clean up any accidents or damage. Communication with management is also a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Northern VA residence within 5 miles of 22301 is preferred
- Must have your own, reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role
- Must have your own reliable Smart Phone with internet access and data plan
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Able to follow detailed instructions
- Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
- Must be timely and punctual
- Must be able to self-manage
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be compassionate about animals
- Must feel comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large animals
- Must be willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
- Must be able to make at least a 6 month commitment, however longer is preferred
- Must be able to pass criminal background check

Responsibilities
- Enter the homes of clients and visit with their pets for varying lengths of time (usually 15 - 30 minutes each)
- Walk pets as requested
- Feed pets as requested
- Check that pets have ample, clean water supply and refill as necessary
- Patrol homes for accidents or damage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
- Clean any accidents or damage discovered in homes of our clients
- Communicate with Management
- Work weekdays, weekends and holidays, as visits vary based on client needs
- Act as primary care givers for pets while their owners are away
- Provide appropriate litter box and/or cage clean up as required
Benefits
- $24-$28 per hour plus tips
- Paid on a per visit basis
