Fairfax County Animal Services (FCAS) is seeking a dynamic, compassionate, and dedicated individual to manage the Pet Resource Center (PRC). Under the general supervision of the Deputy Director, Chief of Field Services, and in collaboration with the field services staff, customer care managers, Shelter Programs Team, animal care managers, and DAS contract veterinary staff, leads the team responsible for developing, managing, and executing PRC events, programs, and projects. Supports the county’s One Fairfax strategic initiative by creating equitable, accessible programs to build strong community relationships and prevent shelter relinquishment and companion animal recidivism. Leads outreach efforts, establishing strategic partnerships, conducting audits, and implementing programs that serve vulnerable populations. Additionally, oversees the PRC operating budget, manage contracts, and ensure that the PRC’s work aligns with best practices in animal welfare, human-animal welfare intersections, and policy change within Fairfax County.
