About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a seasonal Pet Playtime Coordinator to organize and manage daytime play groups at its Chesterfield resort. The role involves monitoring dogs in play areas, including the play-yard and pool, maintaining safe and appropriate levels of play, and supporting cleaning and play-yard maintenance. Coordinators work with dogs of all sizes and help provide a safe, entertaining environment for pets in the resort’s care.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• A genuine passion for working with animals.
• Ability to work in all-weather conditions, including heat and humidity, and be exposed to pool water.
• Comfort around dogs of all sizes and the physical ability to handle dogs of all sizes and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, push, and grasp.
• Flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Responsibilities

• Interact with and monitor dogs in play areas, including the play-yard and pool, using appropriate toys and tools to maintain safe play.
• Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and distribute attention and play among all dogs in the playgroup.
• Minimize stress levels and address aggressive or unusual behaviors.
• Control play levels by following management procedures and instructions and using proper dog-handling techniques.
• Assist the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance duties.
