About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a pet-loving Pet Playtime Coordinator to organize and manage daytime play groups at its Matthews resort. The role involves interacting with and monitoring dogs in play areas, including the play yard and pool, while helping provide a safe, entertaining environment and attentive care. Coordinators work with dogs of all sizes, manage play and behavior, and assist the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance. The position requires working in varying weather conditions and flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

The starting rate is $13.50 per hour, with a $0.50 increase six months after hire and another $0.50 increase on the annual anniversary date. Requirements

• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• A genuine passion for working with animals.
• Ability to work in all-weather conditions, including heat and humidity, and exposure to pool water.
• Comfort around dogs of all sizes and physical ability to handle dogs of all sizes and lift up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, push, and grasp.
• Flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Responsibilities

• Interact with and monitor dogs in play areas, including the play yard and pool, using appropriate toys and tools to maintain safe play.
• Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and spread attention and play among all dogs in the play group.
• Minimize stress levels among dogs in the play group and handle aggressive or unusual behaviors.
• Control play levels by following management procedures and instructions and using proper dog-handling techniques.
• Assist the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance duties.
