About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Pet Playtime Coordinator to organize and manage daytime play groups at its Las Colinas resort. The role involves supervising dogs in play areas, including the play yard and pool, promoting safe and balanced play, responding to stress or unusual behavior, and supporting cleaning and play-yard maintenance. The starting rate is $13.00 per hour, with a $0.50 increase six months after hire and another $0.50 increase on the annual anniversary date. Pet Paradise describes its workplace as a place where team members provide pets with attentive care in a safe and entertaining environment. Employees may pursue advancement and company-sponsored training in leadership, dog training, grooming, and pet care. The company operates full-service pet care locations in ten states, with more than 60 locations in operation or under development.

Requirements

Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
A genuine passion for working with animals.
Ability to work in all-weather conditions, including heat and humidity, and exposure to pool water.
Comfort with dogs of all sizes and physical ability to handle dogs of all sizes and lift up to 60 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, push, and grasp as required by working conditions.
Flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Responsibilities

Interact with and monitor dogs in play areas, including the play yard and pool, using appropriate toys and tools to maintain safe play.
Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and distribute attention and play among all dogs in the group.
Minimize stress among dogs and handle aggressive or unusual behaviors.
Control play levels by following management procedures and instructions and using proper dog-handling techniques.
Assist the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance.
