About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Pet Playtime Coordinator to organize and manage daytime play groups at its Clift Farm resort. The role involves supervising dogs in play-yard and pool areas, helping maintain safe and engaging play, responding to stress or unusual behavior, and assisting with cleaning and play-yard maintenance. The starting rate is $13.50 per hour, with a $0.50 increase six months after the hire date and another $0.50 increase on the annual anniversary date. Team members provide attentive care in a safe, entertaining environment. Employees may pursue advancement through the Unleashed Leadership Academy, Dog Training Academy, or Grooming Academy. Pet Paradise operates resort-style pet day camp and care, grooming, veterinary care, and overnight boarding services. The company has more than 60 locations in operation or under development across ten states.

Requirements

Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
A genuine passion for working with animals.
Ability to work in all-weather conditions, including heat and humidity, and exposure to pool water.
Comfort around dogs of all sizes and physical ability to handle dogs of all sizes and lift up to 60 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, push, and grasp as required by the work.
Flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Responsibilities

Interact with and monitor dogs in play areas, including the play-yard and pool, using appropriate toys and tools to maintain safe play.
Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and distribute attention and play among all dogs in the playgroup.
Minimize stress among dogs in the playgroup and handle aggressive or unusual behaviors.
Control play levels by following management procedures and instructions and using proper dog-handling techniques.
Assist the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance duties.
