About The Position

Pet Paradise is seeking a Pet Playtime Coordinator to organize and manage daytime play groups at its Wilmington resort. The role involves caring for and monitoring dogs in play areas, including the play yard and pool, while helping maintain a safe and enjoyable environment. Coordinators also assist with cleaning and play-yard maintenance. The position requires working in all-weather conditions, including heat and humidity, and flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Requirements

Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
A genuine passion for working with animals.
Ability to work in all-weather conditions, including heat and humidity, and exposure to pool water.
Comfort around dogs of all sizes and physical ability to handle dogs of all sizes and lift up to 60 pounds.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, push, and grasp.
Flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

Responsibilities

Interact with and monitor dogs in play areas, including the play yard and pool, using appropriate toys and tools to maintain safe play.
Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and distribute attention and play among all dogs in the group.
Minimize stress among dogs and handle aggressive or unusual behaviors.
Control play levels by following management procedures and instructions and using proper dog-handling techniques.
Assist the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance duties.
