The position administers and handles radiopharmaceuticals, monitors and documents radiation doses, detects and maps radiopharmaceuticals in patients, and produces images for physician interpretation. It also involves gathering patient illness and medical history, maintaining and calibrating equipment, performing quality control checks, safely storing and disposing of radioactive materials, and maintaining a clean work environment. Continued technical competency is supported through education and company-sponsored training. Candidates must graduate from an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology and hold CNMT or ARRT(N) registration, or be registry eligible. Registry-eligible graduates must obtain certification within one year of hire; ARRT(CT) or NMTCB(CT) certification must be obtained within two years of hire. BLS certification is required. Nuclear Medicine experience and PET/CT oncology imaging experience are preferred. Employment offers are contingent on background screening, and new hires are subject to drug testing and required vaccinations, including influenza unless an exemption is approved.
